What is Aha!?

Elle stops being Aha's assistant and becomes where teams encode their own standards.

Aha! publishes a steady run of concrete, narrow features across Roadmaps and Builder as one-line update posts, interleaved with occasional product-management essays. This window covers user groups for mentions and assignment, a design system for AI-generated apps, long-document handling, virtual user testing for prototypes, and user-defined skills for the Elle assistant. Aha! Builder, which turns plans into working applications, is absorbing most of the AI investment.

What is MeisterTask?

MeisterTask is wiring itself into AI assistants while filling in the admin features enterprises expect

MeisterTask ships small, clearly-labelled changes every few weeks — NEW or IMPROVED, one feature at a time. The spring run covered two distinct fronts: an MCP server that exposes projects, tasks and notes to AI assistants, and team workload plus capacity planning tools gated to Business and Enterprise plans. Everything since has been consolidation, including tables in Note, watcher automation, checklist item copying, and universal search reaching the mobile app.

Aha! vs MeisterTask: editorial side-by-side

A6.3

Elle stops being Aha's assistant and becomes where teams encode their own standards.

◆ Current state

Aha! publishes a steady run of concrete, narrow features across Roadmaps and Builder as one-line update posts, interleaved with occasional product-management essays. This window covers user groups for mentions and assignment, a design system for AI-generated apps, long-document handling, virtual user testing for prototypes, and user-defined skills for the Elle assistant. Aha! Builder, which turns plans into working applications, is absorbing most of the AI investment.

◆ Where it's heading

The arc is legible across three months: Aha! held the product data, then exposed it through an MCP server in May, then acted on it when Builder began generating applications in June, and now lets customers define how the assistant behaves. Skills make Elle configurable by the teams using it rather than only by Aha!, which repeats for the assistant what Builder did for applications. The Roadmaps side meanwhile keeps receiving unglamorous collaboration and document work, so the classic tool is not being starved while the AI half expands.

◆ Prediction

Skills are the obvious thing to extend next, most likely with sharing or governance controls, since Aha! sells to organizations that standardize process. On the Builder side, testing landed in July and deployment and handoff remain the visible gaps.

◆ Current state

MeisterTask ships small, clearly-labelled changes every few weeks — NEW or IMPROVED, one feature at a time. The spring run covered two distinct fronts: an MCP server that exposes projects, tasks and notes to AI assistants, and team workload plus capacity planning tools gated to Business and Enterprise plans. Everything since has been consolidation, including tables in Note, watcher automation, checklist item copying, and universal search reaching the mobile app.

◆ Where it's heading

The product is being extended at both ends of its user base. Upward, workload widgets and a cross-project capacity planner are the features that let it be sold to teams currently choosing heavier tools, and the plan gating makes that intent explicit. Outward, the MCP server treats AI assistants as a new client surface alongside web and mobile. The remaining work reads as parity-closing — mobile catching up to desktop search, Note gaining tables, automations reaching one more field — which is the shape of a product tidying its edges rather than opening a new one.

◆ Prediction

Automation coverage has expanded one trigger and one field at a time, so the next additions will most likely follow that pattern rather than arrive as a redesign. With the MCP server shipped, the open question the entries do not answer is whether it stays read-and-write across all plan tiers or becomes another Business-and-above feature.
