That fits its long-standing self-hosted identity, and it hands usage cost and setup work to the customer. Marketing now serves the same move, with partner content on selling AI and call analytics posts around AI Edition.
◆ Prediction
Update 10 should reach final release soon, since RC2 is described as the last fixes, and it is the version that supports the AI Server on qualifying licences. Expect more migration guidance before January, because transcription users must configure a replacement themselves.

Release engineering is becoming the product's visible discipline: stable, alpha and dev lines ship together with measured performance deltas rather than feature notes. The 7.0 line has moved from dev snapshots into alphas, and 8.0 now takes the dev-snapshot slot.
◆ Prediction
The shared RTSP regression in 7.0-a4 and 8.0-d3 is the obvious thing for the next alpha and dev builds to address, given the benchmarks now flag it on every release.
