Dropbox, Wealthbox and Polar all open their products to AI agents in the same week

The lead

Vendors across unrelated categories shipped the same thing on the same few days: a way for AI agents to operate the product directly. Dropbox launched DBX Agent Cloud, which sells its storage to companies and developers building their own agents. Wealthbox put 24 prebuilt AI agents on every plan at no extra charge. Polar now lets agents create an account, set up billing and complete checkouts.

The pattern is less about assistants inside apps and more about the product exposing itself as an agent surface through MCP, CLI or API. Of 145 products with new commentary, eleven carried a spark, and nearly all of them fit this shape.

What moved

  • Agent-facing infrastructure: CircleCI put Functions into beta, versioned job setup that agents can find and configure through the CLI or MCP server. Jaeger 2.23 lets people and agents query traces in SQL, and its MCP search_traces tool now accepts a SQL statement. Purchasely released a beta CLI exposing every Management API operation as a command.
  • MCP as distribution: Arcade added an MCP so users can create and edit video from Claude, ChatGPT and Gemini, with credit costs shown in the chat. DocsBot AI completed the fourth launch of its November 2 to 6 week with Voice, letting a bot answer phone calls and hand off.
  • Breaking removals: Grafana Loki 4.0.0-rc.2 removes the BoltDB, Cassandra, DynamoDB, BigTable and gRPC storage backends and drops Simple Scalable Deployment targets. Anyone on those needs a migration plan before the final release.
  • HR agents with guardrails: Tanda opened an HR Agent beta that assigns templates and finds records from plain-language requests, with a confirm step on every change.

Sectors today

  • Devtools (33 products): the most active sector, with CircleCI and Jaeger both adding agent-queryable surfaces.
  • Collaboration (13): Dropbox's agent push is the only spark; the rest are routine updates.
  • HR and recruiting (10): Tanda's HR Agent beta is the signal; Leapsome's feed is mostly hiring guides rather than release notes.
  • Analytics (9): Loki's 4.0 candidate is the one structural change.
  • CRM (8): Wealthbox's bundled agents are the only spark in the sector.
  • Ecommerce (8): Polar's agent signup and checkout is the one spark.

Watch tomorrow

Dropbox gave a name and a pitch for DBX Agent Cloud but no pricing, APIs or first customers, so detail is the next thing to look for. DocsBot has one launch-week release left, aimed at answer quality and testing. Loki should see further 4.0 release candidates before a final. Leapsome is worth watching as crawl-source noise: its feed is filling with SEO posts rather than product changes.
