Comprehensive UI component suite for Vue

PrimeVue's 4.5 line has slowed to community patches and empty release notes

Current state
PrimeVue's visible output is a run of 4.5.x patches, and the pace has fallen off sharply — the most recent release in this window landed in April 2026 after a cluster in late 2025. Content is thin in both senses: the releases that do carry notes are single-line community fixes to individual components (Timeline, BlockUI, MeterGroup, Select), and several ship with no notes at all beyond a compare link.
Where it's heading
This reads as a component library in maintenance rather than active development, with outside contributors supplying most of the visible fixes and the maintainers not writing release notes for several versions. Nothing in these entries indicates work on a next major line, new components, or a design-system direction; the changes that are documented are accessibility and rendering corrections to long-standing components.
Prediction
The entries do not support a confident prediction — with several releases shipping no notes and a four-month gap since the last one, it is unclear whether 4.5.x is winding down or the changelog has simply stopped being maintained.

Recent moves

Timeline switches to an ordered list for accessibility

A single community-contributed accessibility fix, changing Timeline to render an ordered list. It is the most recent release in the feed and carries one commit, which is representative of where this line has settled.

    PrimeVue 4.5.4

Released with no notes beyond a compare link, so nothing user-visible can be established from the changelog. Several releases in this line share that shape, which is itself the signal about how this project is being maintained.

Four component fixes: BlockUI, MeterGroup and docs

Four small community fixes — a missing BlockUI import, MeterGroup bars not filling on rounded percentages, an empty-state doc template, and a misleading API class. Routine component upkeep of the kind that fills this line.

    PrimeVue 4.5.2

Another release published with an empty changelog. Two of the six most recent versions carry no notes at all, making the line hard to track for anyone deciding whether to upgrade.

Batch of small component and docs fixes from new contributors

The largest release in this window by commit count, and still entirely small fixes: a StepPanel render warning, a generic type on DynamicDialogCloseOptions, Select label length checks, plus doc typos. Nearly all from first-time contributors.

    PrimeVue 4.5.0

A minor version bump published without release notes, so whatever it changed is not recoverable from the changelog. A 4.5.0 shipping with no documented content is the sharpest example of the notes problem across this line.
