Super Productivity is a cross-platform task and time-tracking app shipping every one to two weeks. The recent stream is dense with planning ergonomics — recurring task settings folded into the planner's schedule dialog, add-task short syntax highlighted as you type, existing tasks appearing in tagged board columns, archived tasks restorable to Today, a single-day view on the Schedule tab. Underneath that, sync has become a named priority: concurrent edits to different fields of the same task now merge instead of one silently overwriting the other.

Two structural changes sit beneath the feature churn. Built-in issue providers are being converted into plugins — Azure DevOps and Trello have moved, and Todoist import arrived as a plugin rather than as core code — which turns integrations into a surface others can extend. In parallel, Plainspace integration has introduced shared projects, task creation and polling into an app whose design assumptions have been single-user and local-first. The sync merge work reads as a prerequisite for that: shared data makes silent last-write-wins a real data-loss risk rather than a rare annoyance.

Expect more built-in integrations to migrate to plugins and Plainspace collaboration to keep expanding, with continued sync-conflict work as the multi-user surface widens.
