Harbor
Harbor's patch train is now mostly about undoing regressions from its own security hardening.
A side-by-side editorial comparison of Redocly and Tyk — release velocity, themes, recent moves, and the top alternatives to consider.
Redocly lets docs teams define their own MCP tools, turning a docs site into an agent endpoint.
Redocly shipped a coordinated 0.138.0 release across Realm, Revel, Reef and Redoc on 2026-10-12, with matching theme, replay and api-docs package bumps. The headline additions are project-specific MCP tools defined in an `@mcp` folder, WebMCP support for in-browser agents, a `submit-feedback` MCP tool, and a `prompt` Markdoc tag that opens content in Cursor, Claude or ChatGPT. It also adds a cookie consent option and turns off Segment and RudderStack page tracking by default.
Tyk is in maintenance mode on four release lines at once, with 5.16 barely stirring.
Tyk's recent output is almost entirely release candidates across the 5.8, 5.13 and 5.15 branches, driven by a single dependency-and-CVE ticket (TT-18285) that bumped kin-openapi, golang.org/x/crypto, thrift and the OTLP trace exporters. The only forward-looking change is a 5.16 alpha in which the Gateway reports node metadata to the Dashboard on register and heartbeat.

After last week's MCP analytics and Connect to Claude, this release moves from measuring AI clients to letting docs authors program what agents can do on their site. The pattern is feature bursts across every product edition at once, followed by Reunite and Git-sync fix days.
Expect a few days of fixes, then more MCP surface: connect actions for agent clients beyond Claude and more built-in MCP tools are the most likely next additions.

The pattern is a vendor servicing a long tail of supported enterprise branches, backporting the same security fixes everywhere rather than shipping features. The 5.16 alpha points toward better fleet visibility between Gateway and Dashboard, a control-plane concern rather than a new API-management capability.
Expect GA patch releases for 5.13.4 and 5.15.1 carrying the TT-18285 dependency fixes, followed by further 5.16 alphas. The entries don't show what headline feature 5.16 will carry.
