What is Harbor?

Harbor's patch train is now mostly about undoing regressions from its own security hardening.

Harbor is shipping patch candidates on both the 2.14 and 2.15 lines. The 2.15.3 batch tightened security with manifest upload size limits, registry ping URL constraints, a fix for robot-name proxy-cache poisoning, and CSV formula neutralization. The 2.15.4 and 2.14.6 candidates then roll back defaults that broke existing setups, re-allowing webhooks to private networks and legacy signer pulls.

What is Redocly?

Redocly lets docs teams define their own MCP tools, turning a docs site into an agent endpoint.

Redocly shipped a coordinated 0.138.0 release across Realm, Revel, Reef and Redoc on 2026-10-12, with matching theme, replay and api-docs package bumps. The headline additions are project-specific MCP tools defined in an `@mcp` folder, WebMCP support for in-browser agents, a `submit-feedback` MCP tool, and a `prompt` Markdoc tag that opens content in Cursor, Claude or ChatGPT. It also adds a cookie consent option and turns off Segment and RudderStack page tracking by default.

Harbor's patch train is now mostly about undoing regressions from its own security hardening.

◆ Current state

Harbor is shipping patch candidates on both the 2.14 and 2.15 lines. The 2.15.3 batch tightened security with manifest upload size limits, registry ping URL constraints, a fix for robot-name proxy-cache poisoning, and CSV formula neutralization. The 2.15.4 and 2.14.6 candidates then roll back defaults that broke existing setups, re-allowing webhooks to private networks and legacy signer pulls.

◆ Where it's heading

The registry is hardening its attack surface and paying for it in compatibility: stricter defaults landed, users hit regressions, and maintainers are now exposing switches in harbor.yml and restoring the permissive behavior. Earlier in the cycle, 2.15.2 swapped Redis for Valkey as the cache backend, a quiet infrastructure decision that now applies to every new install.

◆ Prediction

Expect 2.15.4 and 2.14.6 to reach GA with these regression fixes, and future security changes to ship as opt-in configuration switches before they become defaults.

Redocly lets docs teams define their own MCP tools, turning a docs site into an agent endpoint.

◆ Current state

Redocly shipped a coordinated 0.138.0 release across Realm, Revel, Reef and Redoc on 2026-10-12, with matching theme, replay and api-docs package bumps. The headline additions are project-specific MCP tools defined in an `@mcp` folder, WebMCP support for in-browser agents, a `submit-feedback` MCP tool, and a `prompt` Markdoc tag that opens content in Cursor, Claude or ChatGPT. It also adds a cookie consent option and turns off Segment and RudderStack page tracking by default.

◆ Where it's heading

After last week's MCP analytics and Connect to Claude, this release moves from measuring AI clients to letting docs authors program what agents can do on their site. The pattern is feature bursts across every product edition at once, followed by Reunite and Git-sync fix days.

◆ Prediction

Expect a few days of fixes, then more MCP surface: connect actions for agent clients beyond Claude and more built-in MCP tools are the most likely next additions.
