Read the Docs moves builds to Python 3.14 and Ubuntu 26.04 by default.
Read the Docs ships a dated release most weeks. October moved the default build image to Python 3.14 and Ubuntu 26.04, banned git:// URLs, ranked search by best-matching section, and added temporary build environment variables and a build-media size cap. The first November release is internal: a security scanner build, a primary-key migration and a design doc for scoped API keys.
Tango ships an MCP server, so AI assistants can answer from a team's captured workflows.
Tango captures browser workflows into step-by-step guides, and the Tango MCP, now live on Enterprise plans, lets teams query their Tango workspace from inside AI assistants. Before it, 2026 releases deepened the guide itself: voice narration during capture, branching, translations, video embeds, plus a September rebrand and edit-mode shortcuts.

Two threads run through the releases: a direct upload path for docs built elsewhere, which has had design docs, workflows and onboarding in September and October, and steady hardening of the build platform. Most entries are still lists of merged PRs with dependency bumps.
Scoped API keys now have a design doc, so a user-facing release of per-project or read-only API tokens is the most visible change in the pipeline; timing is not clear from the entries.

The MCP changes where Tango's content gets read: guides become a knowledge source for AI tools, not only pages people open. It is the first AI move in the feed since the April 2025 AI CRM Admin agent, and again gated to Enterprise, where governance and translations also landed.
The entry is short on scope, so it is unclear whether the MCP is read-only; a follow-up widening it to more plans or adding write actions such as creating guides would be the next signal.
