What is Powell Software?

Powell's feed is one homepage-scorer campaign; the actual release note sits outside the window.

Powell's feed is running a single content campaign. Five of the six most recent posts are variations on one theme — why intranet homepages fail and how to grade your own — funnelling toward a free AI homepage diagnostic. The rest is an event recap and templated vertical white papers; the legal and manufacturing cuts of the same 12-question piece went out fifteen minutes apart. No user-visible product change is described anywhere in the recent window.

What is Teable?

Teable builds out its chat-first workspace with structured queries, routines and a Cmd+K palette.

Three releases since the chat-first preview flesh it out. New App Builder apps use structured queries, defined in queries.yaml, instead of raw SQL, and Structured Query V2 adds single-hop lookups through to-one links. Routines get their own page with run history and are now created from a guided AI conversation, and a Cmd+K palette accepts natural-language questions. Query dependencies are available via the CLI and MCP, with field-level impact analysis for schema changes.

Powell Software vs Teable: editorial side-by-side

P5.0

Powell's feed is one homepage-scorer campaign; the actual release note sits outside the window.

◆ Current state

Powell's feed is running a single content campaign. Five of the six most recent posts are variations on one theme — why intranet homepages fail and how to grade your own — funnelling toward a free AI homepage diagnostic. The rest is an event recap and templated vertical white papers; the legal and manufacturing cuts of the same 12-question piece went out fifteen minutes apart. No user-visible product change is described anywhere in the recent window.

◆ Where it's heading

The messaging is narrowing from broad digital-workplace advocacy to one measurable entry point: the homepage, with an AI scorer as the diagnostic hook that turns an abstract complaint into a number a buyer can act on. Running alongside it is an AI-readiness argument that recasts Copilot enthusiasm and agent sprawl as the disorder Powell's layer organises. Product substance does exist on this feed but is rare — a May 2026 release covering mobile-first navigation, AI and analytics sits just past the six most recent posts.

◆ Prediction

Expect the homepage-scorer campaign to keep generating posts and further vertical cuts of the 12-questions white paper, since both are cheap to replicate per industry. Release notes surface here at roughly monthly intervals at best, so the next real product news will likely arrive as a single 'What's new in Powell' post rather than through this content stream.

Teable
COLLAB
7.5

Teable builds out its chat-first workspace with structured queries, routines and a Cmd+K palette.

◆ Current state

Three releases since the chat-first preview flesh it out. New App Builder apps use structured queries, defined in queries.yaml, instead of raw SQL, and Structured Query V2 adds single-hop lookups through to-one links. Routines get their own page with run history and are now created from a guided AI conversation, and a Cmd+K palette accepts natural-language questions. Query dependencies are available via the CLI and MCP, with field-level impact analysis for schema changes.

◆ Where it's heading

Teable is making the AI conversation the main interface and giving agents a safer data layer: versioned structured queries with permissions, impact analysis and less direct SQL. Each daily release moves another part of the product, such as apps, routines and navigation, into the chat-first model.

◆ Prediction

Expect structured queries to gain multi-record relations and cross-table filtering, and chat-first to become the default workspace layout.
