InfluxDB
InfluxDB 3.12 brings GA auth and RBAC, then patches lost-write bugs within two weeks.
A side-by-side editorial comparison of Grafana Loki and Omni — release velocity, themes, recent moves, and the top alternatives to consider.
Loki's operator 0.12 tightens storage schemas and adds OpenShift 5.0 TLS compliance.
The tracked Loki entries are mostly Kubernetes operator releases. Operator 0.12.0 makes the storage schemas field required, removes expired schemas by retention period, adds full TLS compliance for OpenShift 5.0 and flushes ingesters on shutdown. 0.11.0 in August enabled multi-variant queries while dropping the experimental variants() LogQL syntax.
Omni extends scheduled delivery and alerts to workbooks as AI model suggestions reach GA.
Omni ships a weekly bundle on two fronts: warehouse and modeling depth (dbt on Trino, composite topics and Skills in the API) and AI and automation interfaces (MCP tools, Omni Agent editing, routines). The week of October 5 adds scheduled deliveries and alerts for workbooks, bulk chart editor upgrades with layer settings, and general availability for AI model suggestions.

The operator is being hardened for OpenShift production use: safer shutdowns, stricter config validation, certificate rotation aligned to OpenShift alerts and schema lifecycle automation. The feed misses core Loki releases, so it shows the operations side of the product more than query or storage changes.
Expect operator releases roughly every two months tracking new Loki 3.7.x operands and OpenShift requirements. The entries don't show core Loki direction.

The week of October 5 adds scheduled deliveries and alerts for workbooks, bulk chart editor upgrades with layer settings, and general availability for AI model suggestions.
Scheduled delivery keeps widening: embedded routines, conditional routines and multi-user Slack delivery in September, now workbooks as well as dashboards. AI features are graduating from preview, with model suggestions joining apps at GA. Omni is pushing automated and AI-assisted work into more parts of the product rather than opening new categories.
Expect more delivery triggers and channels and further AI features leaving preview; the entries do not show pricing or packaging changes for the AI layer.
