Buildkite
Agent v4's clean slate plus a VS Code extension and expanding MCP server position Buildkite for agent-orchestrated CI.
A side-by-side editorial comparison of GoCD and Redocly — release velocity, themes, recent moves, and the top alternatives to consider.
GoCD's changelog is one maintainer keeping a 2010s CI server running on current runtimes.
The visible work is almost entirely platform upkeep, and nearly all of it is authored by a single contributor. The baseline has been walked forward repeatedly — Java 17 minimum, then building and packaging on Java 21, then Java 21 as the hard minimum with macOS x64 support dropped — while container images moved from Alpine and CentOS Stream to Wolfi and Chainguard, Rails went from 6.1 through 7.1, and Hamcrest was replaced by AssertJ across the test suite. 26.1.0 is the exception in substance: it carries security fixes described as affecting all prior GoCD versions, with an explicit recommendation to upgrade as soon as possible.
Redocly ships MCP servers across its entire doc portal stack, making any hosted API docs directly queryable by AI agents.
The September 15 coordinated 0.137.0 release across Reef, Realm, Redoc, and the async API plugin was the centrepiece: every Redocly-hosted portal now ships with a /mcp endpoint, tabbed setup instructions for Claude and ChatGPT/Codex, an optional /mcp-public path for RBAC-restricted content, OAuth discovery per RFC 8414, and audience-validated bearer tokens. The MCP code mode was hardened to reduce agent script failures and produce cleaner error messages. Reunite (the CI/PR platform layer) is simultaneously shipping at higher frequency — multiple intra-day releases — with PR diff summaries and feedback origin filtering now live.

This is a mature product in custodial maintenance rather than development. The pattern across releases is dependency deduplication, dead code removal, deprecation cleanup and base image swaps — the work that keeps a large Rails and Java codebase installable and patchable on current operating systems. Feature entries are rare enough that their absence, rather than any particular change, is the signal.
Given the security advisory in 26.1.0 covers all earlier versions and the release notes point offsite for detail, the practical next step for operators is that upgrade. The entries show no queued feature work to project from.

Redocly is repositioning its doc portals from human-readable API references to AI-addressable knowledge bases. The depth of the MCP implementation (public/private endpoint split, OAuth, credential validation, code mode, feedback filtering by MCP source) indicates this is a strategic capability, not an experiment. Reunite's fast cadence suggests the CI layer is being tightened to support AI-driven review and deploy workflows.
The next likely additions to the MCP surface: agent write tools (create/update docs programmatically) and analytics on which endpoints agents query most. Reunite will close the loop by letting MCP-sourced feedback trigger doc update PRs.
