◆Current state
Railway ships a weekly bundle across agent infrastructure, low-friction entry and production operations. Cloud Agents, a hosted MCP server and model access spanning Claude, ChatGPT, OpenCode and OpenRouter cover the agent side; HA for Postgres, MySQL, Redis and MongoDB, MySQL PITR and Railway Authentication cover production. The October 16 release adds activity-feed filters by service and type, a guided migration to infrastructure as code with explicit cutover and undo steps, and cron inspection and triggering from the CLI.
◆Where it's heading
The big directional moves (Cloud Agents, no-account deploys, hosted MCP) landed in August and early September; recent releases fill in operational controls around them. The latest one shifts attention to teams outgrowing click-ops: config as code with a reversible path, and more of the platform reachable from the CLI, which is also the surface agents use.
◆Prediction
Expect more CLI and infrastructure-as-code coverage of dashboard-only features, and MongoDB HA following MySQL PITR out of Priority Boarding. The entries don't show a new agent capability queued next.

    Railway Authentication puts a login gate in front of deployed domains, adding another production control that teams would otherwise get from a separate proxy or auth service. OpenRouter support gives the agent stack one route to many models instead of another single-provider hookup, and the iOS rename is cosmetic.
