After the MCP launch, Fulcrum is in a maintenance stretch while Photo FastFill grinds through alpha.
Fulcrum's last two weeks are point releases: weekly web fix rollups, and paired iOS/Android 2609.x builds that mostly harden Photo FastFill (photo-count validation, a three-photo cap, progress and concurrency guards) and the beta external GPS support. The one directional move in this window, the Fulcrum MCP and AI Toolkit Labs release, now sits just outside the six most recent entries. The newest web notes add a warning at the 1,000-record limit for Record Link fields and fix importer and dynamic-choice bugs.
Tinybird keeps shipping weekly, now tightening the knobs on deduplication and indexing.
Tinybird ships a changelog every Friday, and the recent ones alternate between MCP tooling for LLM access and operational controls for its ClickHouse-based stack. The October 2 release adds secondary indexes in Data Source settings and a configurable deduplication window, tightens SQL API and deployment validation, and makes arm64 Tinybird Local depend on a 4KiB page size kernel. The Classic migration period has ended, so v1 is now the only path forward.

There are two parallel tracks. AI-assisted capture on mobile (Photo FastFill, Audio FastFill) is being stabilized release by release, while AI-assisted building on the admin side (MCP plus Toolkit) shipped as an early Labs release. High-accuracy GPS and offline PDF generation for App Extensions point to Fulcrum deepening its field-survey core rather than broadening scope.
Photo FastFill is the likeliest next graduation from alpha to beta, given four consecutive mobile releases spent on its guardrails; the entries give no timing signal for the MCP leaving Labs.

The product is moving from 'real-time analytics API' toward a managed data backend that both developers and LLM agents can query. MCP tooling (one Endpoint tool, configurable formats, query plans) covers the agent side. Secondary indexes, dedup windows, on-demand Copy Pipe compute and faster Materialized View deploys cover the operator side. With Classic gone, expect more of the backlog to be about tuning v1 than about migrating to it.
Expect more schema-level tuning controls exposed in Data Source settings and further MCP tool refinements; the entries don't show whether MCP will gain write or ingest operations.
