Teable
Teable is turning its no-code database into a place to host AI agents, and now gives admins control over the compute.
A side-by-side editorial comparison of FreshRSS and Readwise — release velocity, themes, recent moves, and the top alternatives to consider.
FreshRSS 1.30.1 adds more security patches and points users to its rolling edge channel.
FreshRSS has moved into a security-first phase. 1.30.0 blocked local-network fetches by default, and 1.30.1 follows with more patched attack scenarios plus fixes to Retry-After and HTTP 410 handling. Small feature work continues alongside, such as a per-feed option for the CLI refresh script.
Readwise is now tuning Reader's voices, not just adding them.
Readwise ships a weekly changelog that pairs one or two features with a long run of Reader fixes. The October 9 release follows up on the Lifelike Voices beta: steadier pacing, no clipped first words, and fixes for TTS stalls that delayed some RSS articles by 20 seconds or more. The rest is mobile polish (menus, paginated mode, iOS 27 highlighting) and an extraction fallback for articles the main parser truncates.

Each release now leads with security, and the project keeps steering users toward the edge rolling-release channel for faster patches. Feature work keeps growing in two directions: fetch behavior that is polite to publishers (Retry-After, 410, 429) and operator tooling on the command line (purge, SQLite export, per-feed refresh).
Expect more 1.30.x security point releases, with the edge channel pushed harder as the default advice. The next major release will likely add more search, filtering and CLI options, as in every recent major.

Text-to-speech has become the main product thread: new voices and a floating player on October 2, then pacing and reliability work a week later. Ghostreader moved to library-wide AI in August and to a GPT-6 Luna default in September, while the mobile Reader app keeps absorbing cleanup after the 2.0 rebuild. Readwise is building Reader into a place where you can read, listen to, and query everything you've saved.
Lifelike Voices will likely leave beta or add languages beyond American and British English, since the last two releases both worked on it. Whether Ghostreader and TTS get connected is not visible in these entries.
