Two weeks later Zoho published a narrative recap of the same release framed around AI: MCP-driven agents answering questions about a channel, live meeting transcripts, visible slot availability in event scheduling, and a Deluge Zia bot that generates automation scripts from a plain-language description. The recap also adds a genuinely new admin option — Gemini, Cohere, DeepSeek and Claude selectable alongside Zoho's own Zia.

The order of these releases is the interesting part — audit and sign the distribution channel first, then ship the redesign on top of it. For a WordPress plugin sold in free and Pro tiers, update provenance is the attack surface that matters, and closing it before a large UI change reduces the blast radius of the riskier release. The FluentCRM work points the other way, toward suite consolidation: bookings, contacts, tags, and carts increasingly assume you run several Fluent products together.

Expect the redesigned admin to be followed by fixes as it meets real installs, and further integration depth across FluentCRM and FluentCart rather than standalone booking features. Signed updates likely become table stakes across the rest of the Fluent range.

Cliq's recent moves point the same way from opposite ends: the MCP server made it an endpoint agents drive, and 7.0 makes it a surface embedded inside sibling Zoho apps. Both reduce the case for opening Cliq as its own window. The model-provider toggle is the newer thread and cuts against Zoho's usual posture of shipping its own AI — it concedes that customers now arrive with a model preference. Note the feed's shape: 7.0 is being re-announced from several angles, so a post's date says little about when the capability shipped, and multimedia summaries are described as in progress rather than available.
◆ Prediction
Expect the provider list in the admin panel to become the standard pattern across Zoho apps rather than staying a Cliq setting, since the same Zia surface exists suite-wide. Whether multimedia summaries ship as described is the open item — the post commits to the direction without dating it.
