Fibery vs Redmine: at a glance
What is Fibery?
Fibery moves AI Connectors to free beta two weeks after preview, with MCP creation on the way.
Fibery's October 29 release moves AI Connectors from experimental to beta and calls them ready for general use. They are free for now, and Fibery says moderate usage may stay free, with a pricing decision due by year end. The release also adds a block menu and multi-block selection in rich text, per-screen URLs for Custom Apps, tab moves between desktop windows, and Fibery whiteboards in ChatGPT through the MCP server.
What is Redmine?
Redmine patches three security flaws in 7.0.2 and gives admins a page listing every webhook.
Redmine 7.0.2 and 6.1.5 shipped at the end of September with three security fixes: private issue subjects exposed through the REST API, private project names and role assignments exposed through group memberships, and a DOM-based XSS on clipboard paste. Rails moves to 8.1.4 and 7.2.4 respectively. The 7.0 line also gets a webhook administration page, SVG icon caching and a fix for UI freezes on very large custom fields.

Fibery
7.5PM
Fibery moves AI Connectors to free beta two weeks after preview, with MCP creation on the way.
◆ Current state
Fibery's October 29 release moves AI Connectors from experimental to beta and calls them ready for general use.
◆ Where it's heading
Fibery is making AI the main builder and operator of the workspace: the agent, Custom Apps, AI-generated connectors and an MCP server that now handles code execution, files and whiteboards. Features are moving from preview to general use within weeks, and the weekly cadence alternates big AI releases with quality-of-life updates.
◆ Prediction
Fibery says MCP support for creating AI Connectors is coming, so expect that next. Connector pricing should settle by year end, most likely around sync frequency, since it names 5-15 minute syncs as the case that could change costs.
Redmine
0.0PM
Redmine patches three security flaws in 7.0.2 and gives admins a page listing every webhook.
◆ Current state
Redmine 7.0.2 and 6.1.5 shipped at the end of September with three security fixes: private issue subjects exposed through the REST API, private project names and role assignments exposed through group memberships, and a DOM-based XSS on clipboard paste. Rails moves to 8.1.4 and 7.2.4 respectively. The 7.0 line also gets a webhook administration page, SVG icon caching and a fix for UI freezes on very large custom fields.
◆ Where it's heading
The security cadence holds, and the two API leaks continue a run of defects where private data escapes through an include or list path. The 7.0 branch keeps absorbing polish around its headline webhook feature rather than adding new capability. This release names only the 7.0 and 6.1 series, where August's also covered 6.0.
◆ Prediction
Expect another coordinated security release on the same two-to-three-month rhythm, with continued webhook and performance work on 7.0. Whether 6.0 returns to the coordinated set is unclear from these entries.
