Miter
Miter added accounts payable and opened a free API — it's no longer just construction payroll.
A side-by-side editorial comparison of Factorial HR and Teamflect — release velocity, themes, recent moves, and the top alternatives to consider.
Factorial's API ships quarterly versions, and added an MCP server and SDKs this summer.
Factorial's developer changelog follows dated API versions: 2026-04-01, 2026-07-01 and 2026-10-01 have shipped, and 2027-01-01 release notes are already posted. In July it added an MCP server and official TypeScript and Python SDKs with a skill for AI coding agents. The version entries carry no detail in this feed.
Teamflect opens to AI assistants through MCP and to staff without Microsoft 365 accounts.
An MCP integration entered beta on 2 October: assistants can read goals, tasks and reviews and create or update supported items, within the signed-in user's permissions. Non-Microsoft users can now be added with a username or email address. October also brought automatic translation for reviews and feedback on the Professional plan, a rebuilt Admin Report, and attribute filters moved to Task Group automations, after a review cycle view that puts calibration in one table.

The API is on a predictable quarterly release train with notes published a quarter ahead, which suits integrators planning upgrades. The July MCP server and agent skill show Factorial treating AI assistants and coding agents as API consumers alongside classic integrations.
The 2027-01-01 API version is the next likely release, around the start of January, given the posted notes and quarterly pattern.

The product is loosening two dependencies at once: that work happens inside Teamflect's own interface, and that every employee sits in Microsoft 365. The AI line has moved from September's recognition recommendations to acting on records through an assistant, with existing permissions as the guardrail. Performance review depth continues alongside it.
Expect MCP to widen beyond its beta set of supported actions, as the announcement promises. How much of the product works for non-Microsoft users isn't clear from these entries.
