Expo keeps building EAS into an operations platform; the dashboard gets a tidier settings menu.
Expo is consolidating around EAS as an operations platform: Observe went GA in August, picked up a one-command PostHog hookup in September, and now records native crashes alongside JavaScript errors. SDK 58 is in beta. The latest entry is housekeeping, a refreshed settings navigation on expo.dev.
Tolgee adds task-aware filters as editor gains and billing plumbing alternate.
Tolgee ships near-daily minors and patches. The latest, 3.236.0, stops organizations from picking a plan tier below their current word count; 3.235.0 before it added a per-language filter for translations never included in a task. Earlier in the week came indexed translation memory lookups, quieter batch jobs at plan limits, a pluralization filter, a redesigned export page and a failed-payment banner.

The direction is post-build observability: Expo wants the service that builds and ships an app to also tell you when it breaks in production. Native crash coverage closes the most obvious gap that would have pushed teams to a separate crash reporter. AI work has shifted from owning an agent to being reachable from other people's agents.
Expect SDK 58 to reach stable with EAS Observe support wired in by default, and Observe to add more release-correlation features that tie crashes to specific EAS updates.

The release stream pairs editor and workflow gains, mostly new filters and faster lookups, with monetization plumbing such as payment banners, limit-aware jobs and now plan-tier validation. MCP remains a slower, separate thread, with OAuth 2.1 for MCP clients the latest step.
Expect more filters and performance work in the editor and translation memory, alongside further billing and limit handling. The entries don't show whether the MCP work will go beyond authentication.
