Duplicati turns Hyper-V and MSSQL backups into restorable, named sources.
Duplicati ships a canary roughly weekly and patched its 2.4 stable line on October 7. The 2.4.0.1 stable release focuses on restore reliability, abort handling and security hardening, and adds a reduced reporting mode that strips text and file names from anything leaving the machine. The October 11 canary makes Hyper-V machines and MSSQL databases first-class sources that can be restored to their original location.
Expo keeps building EAS into an operations platform; the dashboard gets a tidier settings menu.
Expo is consolidating around EAS as an operations platform: Observe went GA in August, picked up a one-command PostHog hookup in September, and now records native crashes alongside JavaScript errors. SDK 58 is in beta. The latest entry is housekeeping, a refreshed settings navigation on expo.dev.

Canaries are moving Duplicati from file-level backup toward workload-aware backup for Windows servers, while stable releases harden restore and privacy. Restore correctness is the common thread, with restore-test commands, error reporting and link handling all fixed in the last month.
Expect the Hyper-V and MSSQL providers and restore-test command to reach a 2.4.x stable release after a few more canaries.

The direction is post-build observability: Expo wants the service that builds and ships an app to also tell you when it breaks in production. Native crash coverage closes the most obvious gap that would have pushed teams to a separate crash reporter. AI work has shifted from owning an agent to being reachable from other people's agents.
Expect SDK 58 to reach stable with EAS Observe support wired in by default, and Observe to add more release-correlation features that tie crashes to specific EAS updates.
