Snorkel AI
Snorkel AI's feed is benchmark research and a $30M grants program, not product releases.
A side-by-side editorial comparison of Elicit and LobeChat — release velocity, themes, recent moves, and the top alternatives to consider.
Elicit's research agent now runs on a schedule and reports back by email.
Elicit has spent four months turning an evidence-synthesis tool into an agent platform. July made the API and an MCP server public, August introduced the Research Agent for decision work, September made projects and the library shared across teams, and the newest entry lets the agent create Routines that monitor for new evidence, update artifacts and email summaries without the user present.
LobeHub v2.3.0 turns Proactive Bot on by default: bots now decide when to speak.
LobeHub released v2.3.0 stable, with 145 merged PRs since v2.2.21. Bots now judge each message in the channels they watch and decide whether to speak, stay quiet or wait, with a Wake records tab showing every call and a switch to turn it off. The release also adds real-time page collaboration, threaded channel replies, memory shown as stories, declarative dashboards and workspace-level goal sharing, and the persistent sandbox leaves preview. Six database migrations ship with it, and one blocks writes to the memory tables while its indexes build.

Each release moves Elicit further from a search box a researcher drives toward a standing service that works on a team's behalf: first callable from other tools, then agentic, then shared, now scheduled. The library is becoming the shared memory the agent reads from and writes back to.
Routines currently report by email; the next visible step is likely routines that act on shared team collections or push into other tools through the API and MCP that already exist. The entries don't say how Routines are priced or limited, which is the open question.

The workspace built around Projects in v2.2.21 now has members that act unprompted, and the product's attention is moving to supervising them. Wake records, delivery acceptance and goal sign-off are all review surfaces for agent work. Canary.1 also lands an AgentAccount service skeleton, and the CLI and API keep widening what other software can drive. v2.3.1-canary.2, the first canary with new work after the release, is mostly agent-run reliability, plus Linear sync and goal cleanup.
Expect v2.3.1 to be a reliability release around resumed agent runs, group threads and Linear sync, the areas canary.2 is already fixing. Wake policy controls are the likeliest place for follow-up changes now that every bot is on by default, though the entries don't say how the right and wrong marks on wake records will be used.
