Snorkel AI
Snorkel AI's feed is benchmark research and a $30M grants program, not product releases.
A side-by-side editorial comparison of Elicit and GitHub Copilot — release velocity, themes, recent moves, and the top alternatives to consider.
Elicit's research agent now runs on a schedule and reports back by email.
Elicit has spent four months turning an evidence-synthesis tool into an agent platform. July made the API and an MCP server public, August introduced the Research Agent for decision work, September made projects and the library shared across teams, and the newest entry lets the agent create Routines that monitor for new evidence, update artifacts and email summaries without the user present.
Copilot Fusion takes over model choice as GitHub Enterprise starts bundling Copilot seats.
October 28 was the largest Copilot release day of the year. Copilot Fusion went GA and routes each task across models so users no longer pick one, and enterprises working with an account team can now get Copilot included for every GitHub Enterprise user. Around those two sit a multi-repo update to the Copilot app, a code-scanning security extension, GitHub intelligence as a context layer, and shared Automations.

Each release moves Elicit further from a search box a researcher drives toward a standing service that works on a team's behalf: first callable from other tools, then agentic, then shared, now scheduled. The library is becoming the shared memory the agent reads from and writes back to.
Routines currently report by email; the next visible step is likely routines that act on shared team collections or push into other tools through the API and MCP that already exist. The entries don't say how Routines are priced or limited, which is the open question.

Copilot is changing from a seat add-on with a model picker into a default layer of GitHub. Routing removes the model decision, bundling removes the purchase decision, and shared Automations move agents out of individual sessions into team-owned workflows. The October 26 work on assisted permissions and a cheaper agentic model prepared the ground.
Expect Fusion's experimental local-model routing to mature and admins to gain controls over which models Fusion may use. How bundled Copilot is priced outside account-team deals is unclear from these entries.
