Jackett
Jackett ships a daily build to keep hundreds of torrent indexers working as sites move and close.
A side-by-side editorial comparison of Duplicati and Helm — release velocity, themes, recent moves, and the top alternatives to consider.
Duplicati 2.4.1 stable brings delta backups for Microsoft 365 and scheduled restore tests.
Duplicati 2.4.1.0 stable moves the canary work into the main line. Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace backups now list only what changed since the previous run, and a new restore test operation restores a sample into a temporary folder and verifies it, optionally after each backup and switchable from the console. Point-in-time destination reads, backup version labels and object locks on Duplicati Storage also land, and the local database moves from version 19 to 22, so downgrading takes an extra step.
Helm 3 gets a security patch on its way out; 4.4 is set for January.
Helm runs two trains: 3.22 was the last Helm 3 minor, and Helm 4 carries active development. 4.3.0 brought concurrent status computation, ownership checks before uninstall and reproducible archives, and 4.3.1 waits for CRDs under the hook-only strategy. 3.22.1 bumps dependencies to clear Go vulnerabilities and updates the k8s.io packages.

The 2.4 line is about proving backups can be recovered: restore tests, point-in-time reads and locks answer ransomware and corruption scenarios. Delta tracking for SaaS sources shows Duplicati treating cloud workloads as primary sources, and console-set restore tests give its hosted console a role in managing fleets of machines.
Expect the Hyper-V and MSSQL source rework to be the next canary work headed for stable, and more restore-test controls in the console.
Helm 4 is focused on correctness for GitOps and CI pipelines at scale, while Helm 3 is in patch-only mode carrying dependency and security bumps. The project now publishes a fixed patch cadence for both lines, which makes end-of-life planning predictable for operators.
The release notes schedule 4.3.2 and 3.22.2 for November 11 and Helm 4.4.0 for January 13, 2027; expect Helm 3 patches to stay dependency-only.
