Checkr gives post-hire screening a home in the Dashboard with its new People page.
The newest work sits after the hire: a People page in the Dashboard gives post-hire screening a central surface, on the premise that licenses lapse, new charges surface and statuses shift after day one. Health screening also gets clearer communication about what is happening and what to do next. Before that, the run was dominated by verification mechanics: fraud detection on employment documents, smarter document collection and Clearinghouse post-hire limited queries.
OpenCATS starts a Bootstrap 5.3 interface refresh after a year of modernisation
OpenCATS has spent 2026 rebuilding its foundations: InnoDB and CSRF protection in 0.10.0, PHP 8.4/8.5 and utf8mb4 in 0.11.0, security fixes in 0.11.1. 0.12.0 begins an interface refresh on Bootstrap 5.3 across the main screens, login, installer and Career Portal, replaces Artichow charts with bundled Chart.js and CKEditor with SunEditor, and hardens security in existing workflows.

Two threads still run in parallel: automate the parts of a check a human used to chase, and give the candidate a path to unblock their own report. A third is now visible. Clearinghouse limited queries and the People page both treat screening as an ongoing record rather than a one-time event.
Expect the People page to gather more post-hire checks, following August's Clearinghouse work. Self-service remediation spreading to other stalled check types remains the other likely direction.

The modernisation has moved from runtime and database to what users see, while keeping the existing models and permissions. Old components are being replaced one by one rather than rewritten.
0.12.0 is described as the first step of the refresh, so further interface releases are likely next.
