What is Canix?

Canix is pulling manual re-entry out of seed-to-sale compliance, one screen at a time.

Canix is shipping steadily against the daily grind of cannabis compliance rather than against new surface. August brought label printing folded directly into the actions that mint tags, layover support for multi-leg Metrc transfers, MSRP and per-unit discount fields on invoices, and bulk brand assignment. Dark Mode closed a gap the team had been answering with a link to a browser extension a few weeks earlier. The one structural move on the board, a Purchase Order AI agent, is still gated behind alpha.

What is Easyship?

Easyship stops collecting compliance data and starts filing it at the border.

Easyship is a cross-border shipping platform: rates, labels, tracking and landed-cost calculation across a large courier portfolio, sold both as reselling on Easyship's negotiated rates and as LYOC for merchants bringing their own contracts. The summer run is two steady streams. Courier coverage keeps widening — Amazon Shipping, UniUni, Evri, Purolator, FedEx in the Netherlands, UPS DAP across six EU markets. Alongside it, customs work has sharpened: localised HS codes, country-of-origin selection, EU small parcel duty support, and now CPSC data pass-through to DHL and FedEx.

C
Canix
E-COMM
6.3

Canix is pulling manual re-entry out of seed-to-sale compliance, one screen at a time.

◆ Current state

Canix is shipping steadily against the daily grind of cannabis compliance rather than against new surface. August brought label printing folded directly into the actions that mint tags, layover support for multi-leg Metrc transfers, MSRP and per-unit discount fields on invoices, and bulk brand assignment. Dark Mode closed a gap the team had been answering with a link to a browser extension a few weeks earlier. The one structural move on the board, a Purchase Order AI agent, is still gated behind alpha.

◆ Where it's heading

Two threads run in parallel. The visible one is friction removal inside workflows operators already live in, where the pattern is consistently to carry context forward so nothing gets retyped against a state agency's tag numbers. The quieter one is the MCP server, which now answers inventory questions alongside sales data, making Canix's compliance record addressable from outside its own UI. The first thread defends the seat; the second is where the product's shape could actually change.

◆ Prediction

Expect MCP coverage to keep widening past inventory and sales into the transfer and manifest data Canix already holds, and the Purchase Order agent to move from alpha toward general availability.

Easyship
E-COMM
3.8

Easyship stops collecting compliance data and starts filing it at the border.

◆ Current state

◆ Where it's heading

Courier additions are the maintenance work of this category and will continue as a cadence rather than a direction. The direction is customs. Regulators on both sides of the Atlantic tightened enforcement this year — the EU's €3 small parcel duty in July, CBP's CPSC e-filing requirement with no value threshold — and Easyship has consistently shipped support inside days of each deadline. That turns compliance from a field merchants fill in into something the platform is accountable for delivering to the authorities.

◆ Prediction

UPS is already listed as coming soon for CPSC pass-through, so completing courier coverage is the near-term step; the pattern of shipping to each enforcement date suggests the next regulatory deadline gets the same treatment before it lands.
