Tolgee
Tolgee is back to daily patches after a brief feature turn on billing and Figma.
A side-by-side editorial comparison of Bytebase and CircleCI — release velocity, themes, recent moves, and the top alternatives to consider.
Bytebase is turning database change control into AI-agent access control.
Bytebase ships a minor release roughly every two weeks, alternating feature drops with patch releases. Recent work concentrates on governance: label-driven approval routing, per-object sharing for saved queries, and now a workspace-level policy for what MCP sessions can do. AI features are kept current with model support (GPT-5) rather than reinvented.
CircleCI is courting GitHub Actions users while quietly trimming legacy integrations.
CircleCI's most consequential recent move is an open preview that runs GitHub Actions YAML unchanged on its Linux compute, following the GA of its self-hosted runner autoscaler. Around those two releases the changelog is housekeeping: Xcode image churn, an API error-format consolidation, and VCS host maintenance. The Bitbucket Data Center integration has now been retired.

The approval and permission model is being made finer-grained release by release, and MCP is now treated as a first-class access path that needs its own policy. Expect governance controls to keep extending to non-human callers, with the SQL Editor becoming the main surface where access requests, exports and sharing converge.
The next releases likely add audit and approval hooks specific to MCP sessions, building on the new Disabled/Read-only/Read-write policy.

Around those two releases the changelog is housekeeping: Xcode image churn, an API error-format consolidation, and VCS host maintenance. The Bitbucket Data Center integration has now been retired.
The direction is to make CircleCI a compute layer that accepts other vendors' workflow formats and scales on customer infrastructure, while shedding low-adoption integrations. Recent Bitbucket work is about keeping Cloud checkouts working, not expanding Atlassian support. The macOS image cadence stays steady and mostly reactive to Apple's beta schedule.
Expect the GitHub Actions preview to widen next, most likely with non-Linux runners or automated secret migration, since the preview notes call out both as gaps.
