A flat-file CMS with a long CVE history just wired its API up for MCP.
Bludit ships every few weeks, and almost every release carries a security fix: an authentication bypass and arbitrary file upload in 3.18.4, an authenticated RCE via file upload plus .htaccess bypass in 3.20.0, a path traversal in the API files endpoint in 3.21.0, and session invalidation for disabled users in 3.22.0. Around that, the work is editor and dashboard maintenance, theme additions and a plugin hook for injecting editor toolbar buttons.
Clay closes the data-to-execution gap: Sequencer 2.0 ships outbound natively
Clay has moved well beyond enrichment. The last two months confirm it is now a GTM execution platform: Sequencer 2.0 runs cold outbound sequences inside the same workspace where data is enriched; Clay Ads 2.0 pushes audiences to six ad platforms; Claygent gained programmable Skills for repeatable AI-agent workflows. The MCP integration now supports cross-entity search from Claude and ChatGPT, positioning Clay's data as infrastructure for AI-native sales stacks.

Two threads run in parallel. One is a sustained security cleanup, largely driven by external reports and handled release by release. The other is a quiet repositioning of the API: 3.22.0 improved it specifically to support MCP, which points a file-based CMS at agent-driven authoring. The plugin hook work in 3.20.0 fits the same pattern of opening the editor to programmatic control.
Expect the MCP-facing API work to continue — the initial support arrived as API improvements rather than a documented server, which is the piece still missing.

Each release closes one more gap between data preparation and campaign execution. Functions replacing legacy Recipes signals a push toward developer-grade reusability, which opens the door to a template or marketplace ecosystem. The addition of Snowflake AI-generated SQL and SOQL imports suggests Clay is building toward owning the data pipeline upstream of CRM, not just the enrichment step inside it.
The logical next move is a native HubSpot or Salesforce bidirectional sync—moving beyond Pardot to cover the CRM record itself. Without it, users still need a separate system to track engagement after sequences fire. A deeper CRM write-back would complete the loop Clay has been building.
