What is Bitbucket?
Bitbucket fills out Agentic Pipelines with test agents, MCP access and Merge Queue APIs.
October activity builds on the April launches. Test Optimizer and Test Cleanup agents join an improved Flaky Test Fixer, Agentic Pipelines connects to the redesigned Atlassian MCP server for Claude and Codex agents, and Merge Queues get public APIs for Standard and Premium workspaces. A visual refresh of the Pipelines list and result pages rounds out the month, with no changes to configurations.
What is Dub?
Dub adds AI application screening as its partner program controls keep getting finer.
Dub's run since July is almost entirely Dub Partners. Programs can now auto-reject applicants against plain-language criteria, set rewards per partner or per link, pay retainer-style fixed amounts, and let existing partners apply to switch groups. Bounties and email campaigns gained tag scoping and combined conditions, while the link product got one-click DNS setup for Vercel and Cloudflare.

5.0DEVOPSINFRA · APIS
Bitbucket fills out Agentic Pipelines with test agents, MCP access and Merge Queue APIs.
◆ Current state
October activity builds on the April launches.
◆ Where it's heading
Pipelines continues to widen from CI into a place where agents do maintenance work, now with test upkeep as the first concrete catalog. Merge Queues is moving from a feature into something other tools can drive through the API. Atlassian's own account of daily test-coverage agents shows the pattern it wants customers to copy.
◆ Prediction
Expect further agent tasks in the same chore-focused mold. The entries do not state a general availability date for Merge Queues, so that remains unclear even though the API work points toward it.
Dub
5.0INFRA · APIS
Dub adds AI application screening as its partner program controls keep getting finer.
◆ Current state
Dub's run since July is almost entirely Dub Partners.
◆ Where it's heading
The partner product is moving from commission setup to program operations. Retainers and link-level rewards widen what can be paid for, and AI now appears in two administrative jobs, reward building and application screening. Each release reduces a manual step for program operators.
◆ Prediction
Expect more AI help in program administration, since reward building and screening shipped within two months of each other. Further reward primitives are also likely given the pace since July.
