The week in design

The clearest move across design tooling this week was the same one surfacing everywhere else: the tools are becoming things an agent operates, not just a surface a designer clicks. Webflow shipped a Slack integration that acts on your sites — describe the task, and it edits content or runs analytics without opening the Designer — extending the agent-control arc it started inside ChatGPT. Frame.io put a project-aware AI assistant into its Labs program that organizes assets, summarizes feedback, and generates media in place. ComfyUI exposed its whole node graph to coding agents through an MCP server, and VEED kept pushing its AI video tools out across MCP, a ChatGPT app, and a subtitle API. And Spectra, three releases into a paid launch, should reveal its real cadence — the 1.0.1 rollback feature suggests early updates were shaky enough to need an undo button.
