◆Current state
TalkJS releases on a predictable monthly cycle, and the Components SDK introduced late last year has been the main destination for new capability since — multi-file uploads and keyboard navigation in August, search in May, conversation filters in June. Platform coverage keeps widening through native Data APIs for Flutter and Kotlin.
◆Where it's heading
Work is split between bringing the Components SDK to parity with the Classic SDK and extending the Data API to more native platforms. Localization and theming appear regularly, which points at customers shipping chat to broader user bases rather than developer-facing tools.
◆Prediction
Expect the remaining Classic SDK capabilities to arrive in Components, and the Data API pattern established for Flutter and Kotlin to reach the remaining native platforms.
