Resource Guru just made its scheduling data answerable in plain English.

◆Current state
Resource Guru is a resource-scheduling tool that has spent two months widening how work gets into the schedule and how the schedule gets read back out. Trello and ClickUp integrations pull tasks in from project tools, shareable read-only Gantt links push plans out to clients, and the Schedule itself gained custom-field colour coding, a configurable Projects view and a digest for unassigned placeholder work. The MCP server shipped this week is the first time account data is addressable by an AI client rather than through the interface.
◆Where it's heading
The direction is Resource Guru as a data layer rather than a destination app. Integrations feed it, external links and now MCP take answers out of it, and the in-app releases are mostly about making one dataset legible in more ways — colour by any custom field, choose your own columns, get told what is still unstaffed. That is a product betting its value sits in the availability data, not the interface wrapped around it.
◆Prediction
The MCP server is framed around asking questions of account data; writing bookings back through the same channel is the natural follow-on given how much of this quarter went into inbound integrations.
