◆Current state
Neos is a PHP CMS whose 9.x line ran 9.0 and 9.1 maintenance releases alongside 9.2 betas. Neos 9.2.0 shipped on October 11 with a workspace module that assigns roles, a grace period before soft-removed content is garbage-collected, and the atomic commits and locking work from the betas. The feed stores most betas as stubs, so beta4 on September 12 says only to see the changelog.
◆Where it's heading
The 9.2 cycle reworked how the event-sourced content repository commits and locks, and exposed workspaces to editors with roles. The maintenance lines are likely to narrow now that 9.2 is stable.
◆Prediction
Expect 9.2.x patch releases and backported fixes on 9.1; whether 9.0 keeps getting releases is unclear.

    Stored as a 32-character stub; the release itself carries around 3,400 characters. The substantive change is atomic events with commitAll, which simplifies locking by removing content stream closing, backed by a raise to an event store adapter using global locking and a migration for workspaces rebased before that change. A new flow crupgrade:eventsstatus command reports which event migrations apply, and a race condition during content stream forking is fixed. Re-judged from trivial once the real notes were read.
