◆Current state
RecoveryManager Plus is a backup-and-recovery tool for Active Directory and Microsoft 365, and it is the most feature-active of the ManageEngine set here. Recent builds add real backup coverage — AD sites and subnets, Entra ID local admin passwords, S3-compatible repositories, SIEM audit forwarding, and Entra ID BitLocker recovery keys — alongside CVE patches and RemCom agent hardening. Build 6322 is the quietest of the run: a single fix for restarts triggered by an outdated ExchangeOnlineManagement PowerShell module during Microsoft 365 enumeration.
◆Where it's heading
The direction is coverage expansion: methodically extending what can be backed up and restored across on-prem AD and Entra ID, while broadening cloud storage targets and operational integrations. The dependence on Microsoft's own PowerShell modules is the cost of that coverage, and 6322 shows where it bites — a stale module on the customer's side takes the product down mid-enumeration. Feature builds and pure-fix builds alternate at roughly a two-month cadence, so a single-issue build reads as a gap between feature cycles rather than a slowdown.
◆Prediction
Expect continued expansion of Entra ID and cloud-native backup coverage and more storage-target options, with security patches folded into each build; the next build carrying a Features section is due on the cadence this feed has held.
