Koofr brings web-app link controls to Android days after a 24-hour DDoS.

◆Current state
Koofr is a privacy-focused cloud storage service. Its newest release gives the Android app the web app's advanced link settings: passwords, messages, QR codes, visit and upload counts, and receive links that route files to a folder via a unique email address. It lands three days after an incident report on a nearly 24-hour, extortion-driven DDoS, the third availability disruption since April.
◆Where it's heading
Product work is closing parity gaps across clients: a rebuilt iOS app in June, document scanning in July, browser-extension upgrades in September and now Android sharing. Running alongside it is a recurring availability problem (April DDoS, September data-center connectivity, October DDoS) that the entries show being handled reactively.
◆Prediction
Expect the same link controls or other web-app features to keep moving into the mobile apps; whether Koofr ships visible resilience measures after the October attack is not clear from the entries.
