◆Current state
Katana ships roughly monthly, alternating feature posts with how-to content. The recent run covers Amazon FBM order fulfillment, bin-level stock tracking across a warehouse, AI replenishment forecasting twelve months out, custom fields on sales orders, and now Assisted Import, which loads data into Katana without requiring a formatted template. One caveat on reading this feed: the entry bodies are recycled boilerplate that frequently does not match their own titles, so only the headlines are reliable.
◆Where it's heading
Two lines are running in parallel. One extends Katana outward into the channels a maker sells through, with Amazon fulfillment following the existing Shopify and QuickBooks connections. The other deepens the inventory model itself — bin locations, demand forecasting, custom fields — so the data those channels feed has somewhere precise to land. Assisted Import addresses the point where both of those stall, which is getting a prospect's existing spreadsheet data in at all.
