Hi.Events

E-COMM
Velocity2.5

Self-hosted event management and ticketing platform

Hi.Events 2.0 ends single-date events: recurring occurrences, embedded checkout, a REST API.

◆Current state
Hi.Events is in release candidates for 2.0, its largest release so far. rc.1 made every event a set of occurrences generated from recurrence rules, and added embedded checkout, product add-ons, a rebuilt check-in app, a documented REST API and a redesigned dashboard, with one-way migrations. rc.2 adds per-date ticket quantities, sequential tier release, AI event moderation and a site-wide cookie banner. The 1.x line before it shipped security fixes for webhook SSRF and spreadsheet formula injection.
◆Where it's heading
The project is moving from a single-event ticketing tool to a platform for organisers who run repeating events and sell through their own sites. Embedded checkout and a public API widen where tickets get sold; AI moderation and the security work point to running a hosted, multi-organiser service.
◆Prediction
Expect further rc builds that fill gaps in the recurring-event model (per-date inventory came in rc.2) before a 2.0 stable release.

2.0 rc.2: per-date tickets, tier sequencing, AI moderation

2.0 rc.1: recurring events, embedded checkout and a REST API

    ⚡ SPARK

rc.1 is the break between the 1.x ticketing tool and the 2.0 platform: events become occurrences, checkout moves onto organisers' own sites, and a public API opens the data. Every later release in the series builds on this model.

1.11.1: webhook SSRF and export injection fixes

A security release that re-validates webhook targets on every redirect, writes buyer-supplied export values as text, and closes an order-completion race. It's the hardening that preceded opening up the 2.0 API and embedded checkout.

1.11.0: checkout prefill from URLs and hidden-product fix

Checkout can be prefilled (and locked) from URL parameters, hidden products can no longer be bought through public checkout, and Slovak arrives. Small steps toward letting external sites drive checkout, which 2.0 completes.

1.10.0: ticket date display options and Spanish, Greek

Adds ticket date display options, an organiser toggle for the copy-details control, a capacity-assignment checkout fix and new Spanish and Greek translations. Incremental organiser controls in the late 1.x line.

1.9.0: tracking pixels with consent and date-range charts

Organisers get tracking pixels gated by cookie consent, date-range dashboard charts and homepage font controls. It introduced the consent handling that rc.2 later extends site-wide.
