Headless CMS and content platform with AI agents, semantic search, and API-first content management

Cosmic is rebuilding a headless CMS around autonomous, tool-using content agents.

Current state
Cosmic is a headless CMS that has pivoted hard toward agents: recent releases give Team Agents goals, computer-use, and the ability to create and edit content directly, backed by semantic (RAG) search over a workspace's objects. It is also consolidating a sprawl of AI entry points into three surfaces and keeping current with frontier models. The content-management fundamentals — rich text, assignments, capacity add-ons — still ship alongside.
Where it's heading
The arc is unmistakable: from AI-assisted editing toward agents that do content work on their own. Computer-use lets an agent drive a real browser, goals let it run multi-step tasks, and RAG search grounds it in the customer's own content. Cosmic is betting the CMS becomes an operator, not just a store.
Prediction
Expect the three-surface consolidation to continue, with more agent autonomy and connector reach; model additions like Kimi K3 will keep arriving as routine roster updates rather than milestones.

Recent moves

Kimi K3 Is Now Available in Cosmic

Adding Moonshot's open-source Kimi K3 to the model roster is a routine keep-current move; Cosmic swaps frontier models in as they land rather than betting on one.

Semantic Search: Find Content by Meaning

Content RAG embeds workspace objects into a vector index so users — and agents — can search by meaning rather than keywords; it is the retrieval layer that grounds Cosmic's agent push.

Agents Can Now Manage Content Blocks

Extending Team Agents from referencing to creating, editing, and deleting reusable Content Blocks hands agents real write authority over content.

    Agents Can Use the Computer

    ⚡ SPARK

Giving agents Computer Use — driving a real browser to log in and act — is the sharpest move in Cosmic's agent pivot, extending them beyond the CMS's own API into arbitrary web tasks.

A Simpler AI Surface: AI Studio Is Retiring

Retiring AI Studio and consolidating Cosmic AI into Agents, Workflows, and Code simplifies an AI surface that had sprawled — a sign the agent model is now the center of gravity.

    Set Goals for Your Agents

Goal-driven agents that plan and run their own steps toward a plain-language objective push Cosmic further from assisted editing toward autonomous content work.
