Comfy is converting a single-user open-source graph editor into a platform with paying customers and machine callers. The MCP server is the sharper half of that: it makes the node ecosystem addressable by Claude, Codex, and Cursor, so ComfyUI becomes infrastructure an agent drives rather than a canvas a human clicks. Teams, the public API, and batch generation all point at the same buyer — studios running generation at volume, not hobbyists.

Usage-based pricing on top of the Teams tier is the natural next step now that MCP and batch generation make consumption programmatic and predictable to meter.
