Postgres Operator
Postgres Operator v2.0.3 makes md5 pooler auth opt-in in a bug-fix release.
A side-by-side editorial comparison of Slurm and Sonic — release velocity, themes, recent moves, and the top alternatives to consider.
Slurm's 26.05 line settles into routine fixes after September's seven-CVE release.
Slurm maintains three branches (25.05, 25.11, 26.05). On September 2 it shipped coordinated security releases on all three fixing seven CVEs, including an operator-to-administrator privilege escalation and SQL injection via cluster names. 26.05.5 on October 13 returned to ordinary fixes: qstat -f output, a slurmd double free and powered-down nodes placed incorrectly. 26.05.3 in August added external nodes in heterogeneous jobs.
Sonic yanks two releases in a day, then ships faster ingest and new count commands.
Sonic is a lightweight Rust search index that gained BM25 ranking in 1.8. On September 21 it released 1.9.0 with large PUSH performance gains and 1.9.1, then yanked both over two serious bugs and shipped 1.10.0 the same day with new COUNTC, COUNTB and COUNTO commands replacing COUNT. 1.10.1 fixed a CJK tokenizer panic on Chinese text and object counting, and 1.10.2 repaired backups.

The 26.05 line, which introduced SLUID identity and an in-tree TLS path in May, is past its security scramble and into routine point releases. Older branches get backports only when a security fix requires it.
Expect 26.05.6 on a similar monthly pace with reliability fixes; another coordinated security release would again cover all three branches.

The 1.x line is moving fast on ingest performance and correctness for high-scale and non-English users, at the cost of some unstable releases. Experimental APIs are being tested in production before they reach official builds.
Expect the experimental high-scale PUSH features to graduate out of the feature flag in a later 1.x; when is unclear.
