What is Formaloo?

Formaloo lets you bring your own form UI, and opens a door in from ChatGPT and Claude

Formaloo runs a monthly release train that has been steadily converting a form builder into a workspace platform: portals with domain-restricted signup, workspace Themes, teams, timezone-consistent records, board voting. July's Magic Logic release moved rule authoring from configuration to description. The latest entry opens two surfaces the product did not have: forms whose UI you build yourself with submissions still kept in Formaloo, and project creation started from inside ChatGPT or Claude, plus private AI analysis and automated scoring and assignment. That entry is a teaser of roughly two hundred characters, so its direction is legible but its scope is not.

What is RudderStack?

Open lakehouse streaming and modern native SDKs reshape what RudderStack delivers.

RudderStack is shipping at high cadence across three vectors: open data infrastructure (Snowflake Iceberg streaming destination, P95 latency alerts at GA), modern native SDKs (new Kotlin Android SDK and Swift iOS SDK replacing legacy versions), and integration breadth (Custom Web Device Mode, Singular v2/SDID auto-routing, Braze multi-app keys). Bot Management, Tracking Assistant, and Snowflake Streaming GA from prior weeks set the stage.

Formaloo lets you bring your own form UI, and opens a door in from ChatGPT and Claude

◆ Current state

◆ Where it's heading

The AI thread has changed shape. Magic Logic and the Update Record action both put more capability inside Formaloo's own editor; this release instead loosens Formaloo's hold on where the work starts and what renders it. If forms no longer require Formaloo's interface, the product's centre moves from the builder to the submission store, the workflow engine and the analysis on top — which is consistent with the platform thread that has been replacing per-form configuration with workspace-level systems for months. The assistant entry point points the same way: the dashboard stops being the only front door.

◆ Prediction

Expect the next cycles to say what the headless path actually is — an API, an embed, or a component library — since the teaser names the capability without naming a mechanism, and to extend the assistant integration past project creation toward the logic and analysis surfaces Magic Logic already automates. On this feed's evidence alone the scope of either is not yet readable.

Open lakehouse streaming and modern native SDKs reshape what RudderStack delivers.

◆ Current state

RudderStack is shipping at high cadence across three vectors: open data infrastructure (Snowflake Iceberg streaming destination, P95 latency alerts at GA), modern native SDKs (new Kotlin Android SDK and Swift iOS SDK replacing legacy versions), and integration breadth (Custom Web Device Mode, Singular v2/SDID auto-routing, Braze multi-app keys). Bot Management, Tracking Assistant, and Snowflake Streaming GA from prior weeks set the stage.

◆ Where it's heading

Two parallel arcs are visible. The data plane is moving toward open lakehouse formats — Iceberg-on-customer-cloud-storage decouples customers from a single warehouse vendor. The collection plane is being modernized end-to-end, with native Kotlin and Swift SDKs replacing older mobile stacks and a new self-serve integration model letting customers ship their own destinations. Together these moves reposition RudderStack as composable infrastructure rather than a closed CDP.

◆ Prediction

Expect Iceberg streaming to extend beyond Snowflake — Databricks Unity Catalog or direct S3-Glue Iceberg as a destination — and the modernized SDK pattern to ship a JavaScript or React Native rewrite next. The Custom Device Mode escape hatch will be productized further as a marketplace for community-built integrations.
