Rivet 3.0 Preview runs as one stateless binary on WarpDrive, with S3 as its only dependency.
Rivet has spent two months building infrastructure for long-lived actors and AI agents: BYOC in customer clouds, OpenTelemetry tracing, actor-scoped JWTs, Pi agent runtimes and agentOS Hosted VMs. On October 5 it said 3.0 would replace NATS with S3. The October 26 3.0 Preview delivers that: a new storage engine, WarpDrive, promises bottomless storage on S3 at SSD speed, and Rivet becomes a single stateless binary.

Scalingo is a European PaaS that keeps runtimes close to upstream. This week was mostly incident response: the router now rejects Brotli-encoded requests to existing Node.js apps and multipart requests to PHP apps, base images drop CA trust paths affected by the eMudhra compromise, and patched PHP and Python versions shipped. A CLI command lets apps toggle the multipart block themselves.

Expect benchmarks and migration guidance for 2.x users during the preview, followed by a 3.0 GA. The entry gives no performance numbers, so the SSD-speed claim is unverified.

Scalingo is using its routing layer as a shield, filtering vulnerable traffic before it reaches unpatched apps and then giving control back to customers through the CLI and SDK. The pattern is to protect by default and let customers opt out explicitly. Normal buildpack updates continue underneath.

Expect the Brotli and multipart filters to become configurable in the dashboard, as Scalingo has promised for multipart, and to be relaxed once patched runtimes are widely deployed.
