Two threads run through them: a set of memory-safety and cryptographic fixes credited to an external reporter, covering constant-time comparison in SCTP state-cookie and STUN message-integrity verification, an out-of-bounds write in RTP dependency-descriptor handling, and an integer overflow in SCTP error-cause parsing; and the subchannels mechanism being extended to pipe transport, encoded in 0.23.0 and completed for pipe DataConsumers in 0.24.2. SVC was also enabled for VP8 and H264 along the way.

This is infrastructure being hardened rather than repositioned. The audit-driven fixes arriving in a batch with named credits, plus the libsrtp bump to a 3.0.0 beta, suggest the project is working through a review of its packet-parsing surface — the part of an SFU that touches untrusted input. The subchannels-over-pipe work is the one feature arc: it makes data-channel subchannels usable in multi-worker routing topologies, which matters for anyone scaling a single conference across workers.
◆ Prediction
Expect the remaining audit findings to keep landing as patch releases on the 0.24 line, and further pipe-transport parity work now that subchannels cross that boundary. Nothing in these entries indicates a change in the library's API direction.
