A side-by-side editorial comparison of Neos CMS and Open Web Analytics — release velocity, themes, recent moves, and the top alternatives to consider.
Neos 9.2 is out, with workspace roles and a reworked content repository behind it.
Neos is a PHP CMS whose 9.x line ran 9.0 and 9.1 maintenance releases alongside 9.2 betas. Neos 9.2.0 shipped on October 11 with a workspace module that assigns roles, a grace period before soft-removed content is garbage-collected, and the atomic commits and locking work from the betas. The feed stores most betas as stubs, so beta4 on September 12 says only to see the changelog.
Open Web Analytics patches 1.14 in quick succession, fixing date ranges and heatmaps.
Since 1.14.0 added acquisition dimensions and data-repair commands in September, OWA has shipped patches up to 1.14.6 (1.14.5 is missing from the feed). 1.14.1 fixed cross-site access in REST reports and the recording player, where a user granted one site could read another site's records. Later patches restore heatmaps that had been broken since 1.10.1 and 1.13.0, fix URL query filtering, and correct relative periods: 'Last seven days' had covered eight days, and periods now count calendar days so daylight-saving changes don't shift them.

The 9.2 cycle reworked how the event-sourced content repository commits and locks, and exposed workspaces to editors with roles. The maintenance lines are likely to narrow now that 9.2 is stable.
Expect 9.2.x patch releases and backported fixes on 9.1; whether 9.0 keeps getting releases is unclear.

The modernization run toward 2.0 continues, and the patches show its cost: regressions from the 1.10 to 1.13 rewrites are being found and fixed one by one. Release notes stay candid about what broke and since when. None of the 1.14 patches needs a schema change.
Expect more 1.14.x patches for regressions from the report-URL and schema changes, then a step toward the 2.0 branch that 1.13.0 announced.
