Mumble
Mumble's 1.6 reaches a second release candidate while 1.5 loses macOS binaries.
A side-by-side editorial comparison of Komga and Miniflux — release velocity, themes, recent moves, and the top alternatives to consider.
Komga's NextUI beta keeps gaining features while the old UI gets only translations.
Komga ships every one to two weeks, and almost all feature work lands in NextUI, the rewritten web interface served at /next. The third NextUI beta in 1.28.0 added contextual navigation, such as moving between books in a series or read list, and 1.29.0 added Notable Entities metadata that only NextUI shows. The latest patches fix page counts and KOReader hashes and carry dependency and translation updates.
Miniflux adds group-based admin roles and lets passkeys be the only login.
Miniflux 2.3.5 adds OpenID Connect admin role mapping from group claims, a force option on the feed refresh API and validation of CSS selectors in rewrite and scraper rules. Passkeys can now serve as the only login method when local authentication is disabled. The security list is long again, covering session sign-out on password change, feed cookie scoping and SSRF bypass blocks, following similar work in 2.3.4.

NextUI is moving from preview to the main interface: each minor release adds features exclusive to it, and the old web UI now receives only translations and dependency bumps. The server side keeps adding API checks and Kobo sync fixes underneath.
Expect further NextUI betas with editing and navigation features, and eventually a release that makes NextUI the default; the entries don't give a date.

The two threads from earlier this year continue, but the security work has broadened from authentication strictness to the server's network and session behavior. SSO is the new thread: admin mapping and an authentication settings page make Miniflux easier to run for a group rather than one person. API additions and validation messages keep serving people driving it from other software.
The next release likely adds more identity options around OIDC and further SSRF hardening, since both have moved in consecutive releases. Neither is promised in these notes.
