A side-by-side editorial comparison of iSpring and Processing — release velocity, themes, recent moves, and the top alternatives to consider.
iSpring now asks for your brand colours before the AI builds a course, not after.
iSpring Suite's releases are mostly AI authoring work plus content-library additions. The AI Course Generator gained a Design step where accent colour, background and font are chosen before generation, so drafts come out on-brand. QuizMaker no longer locks the PowerPoint presentation while a quiz is built. AI course creation and translation expanded by 27 languages and now distinguish regional and script variants. The Content Library added aproned characters, new poses, brand-colourable icons and its first animated GIF icons.
Processing adds a release-candidate step before shipping 4.5.7's Linux and WebGPU fixes.
Processing restarted its release train in June with 4.5.4 and has shipped steadily since. 4.5.6 in July merged the wgpu renderer branch and moved the build to Gradle 9. 4.5.7 in September went through two release candidates first, a step none of the earlier releases in this feed had, and fixed an InaccessibleObjectException at Linux startup, limited the --disable-awt flag to the WebGPU renderer, and set up Maven publishing for app/utils.

The AI work is moving from generating content to removing the cleanup after generation: picking design up front, and translating into the right regional variant so less post-editing is needed. Alongside it, iSpring keeps fixing workflow friction in the PowerPoint-based tools. The content library grows steadily as the non-AI half of each month.
Expect more pre-generation controls in the AI Course Generator, since design is the second setting moved before generation; assessment quality tooling remains absent from these entries.

The project is putting process around its releases (CI permission checks, a candidate stage before full release) while the WebGPU renderer settles in. Fixes in 4.5.7 that target the WebGPU path show the new renderer is now getting real-world use.
Expect further 4.5.x releases through the same candidate process, with WebGPU renderer fixes as the main content.
