v0 ships weekly, and the releases have shifted from the chat window to everything around it: a Platform API, an MCP server, a skills system, and direct connections into Figma, Shopify, and Snowflake. The model picker runs four tiers up to Claude Opus 5, with the top Fast tier repriced to about a third of its former cost. Governance arrived alongside the openness — team deployment policies, scoped permissions, and design systems that can be set as a team default.

Anomaly Detection removes the requirement to define thresholds or write queries at all, and Canvas edits mean the agent can propose changes to alerting config, gated by human approval. MCP is becoming the front door for both onboarding and querying — Honeycomb is positioning its data as something an agent operates rather than a dashboard an engineer reads.
Anomaly Detection should widen beyond error rate and presence to latency and volume signals as it moves toward GA, and MCP onboarding will likely become the default path for new teams.

The through-line is v0 becoming drivable by something other than a person typing in a browser. The MCP server went from reading chats in June to answering plan approvals and permission prompts in July, which is the last step before another agent can run a v0 build end to end. Design input moved the same way: Figma stopped being an import-and-screenshot step and became a structured file v0 reads while it builds. Each new capability now ships with a team-scoped policy attached, which is what a tool looks like when it starts selling upward.
Expect the Platform API and MCP surfaces to converge, with v2 leaving beta carrying the plan-approval semantics the MCP server already exposes. More first-party data connectors following the Snowflake and Shopify pattern is the other obvious next move.
