What is Omni?

Omni now accepts dashboards built in Claude, pairing it with more API and MCP endpoints.

Omni ships a weekly bundle on two fronts: warehouse and modeling depth (dbt on Trino, composite topics and Skills in the API) and AI and automation interfaces (MCP tools, Omni Agent editing, routines). The week of October 12 lets users send dashboards built in Claude into Omni and adds a batch of API endpoints and MCP tool updates; the week before brought workbook schedules and alerts and GA for AI model suggestions.

0.0

Highlight grew from session replay into SQL-driven observability, then went quiet in August 2025.

◆ Current state

Highlight is an open-source observability stack covering session replay, errors, logs, traces and metrics. Its last tagged self-hosted release, docker-v0.5.6, shipped in August 2025 with session-replay performance fixes and session restarts. Nothing has been tagged since.

◆ Where it's heading

Through 2025 the releases added OpenTelemetry metrics ingest, a SQL editor and builder for graphs, SQL alerts and dashboards created from log and trace views. That pushed Highlight from a replay tool toward a general telemetry platform. The cadence then slowed from roughly monthly to a two-month gap before stopping.

◆ Prediction

The entries show no release in more than a year, so the self-hosted line's future is unclear. Any new tag would most likely be maintenance on session replay and OTel ingestion.

Omni
ANALYTICS
6.3

Omni now accepts dashboards built in Claude, pairing it with more API and MCP endpoints.

◆ Current state

Omni ships a weekly bundle on two fronts: warehouse and modeling depth (dbt on Trino, composite topics and Skills in the API) and AI and automation interfaces (MCP tools, Omni Agent editing, routines). The week of October 12 lets users send dashboards built in Claude into Omni and adds a batch of API endpoints and MCP tool updates; the week before brought workbook schedules and alerts and GA for AI model suggestions.

◆ Where it's heading

Omni is positioning itself as the governed destination for analysis that starts in outside AI assistants, not only in its own agent. Each week extends the API and MCP surface so external tools can create and manage content, while scheduled delivery spreads across more of the product.

◆ Prediction

Expect more import paths from external AI tools and further MCP coverage of content management; this week's note is a one-line summary, so the details of the Claude path aren't visible yet.
