Podia
Podia adds a custom terms checkbox to checkout, its fourth store basic in two weeks.
A side-by-side editorial comparison of DSpace and Tutor LMS — release velocity, themes, recent moves, and the top alternatives to consider.
DSpace patches 10.x, 9.x and 8.x on one day, with 7.x now out of the batch.
DSpace, the open-source repository platform for institutional archives, ships its backend and REST API separately from the frontend. After 10.0 in May, the September 14 batch delivered bug-fix releases 10.1, 9.4 and 8.5 within two hours of each other. The 7.x line, declared end-of-life with 7.6.7, no longer appears.
Tutor LMS locks down its REST API as feature work resumes
Tutor LMS has moved past post-rewrite patches into a 4.x feature line. v4.1.0 added negative and partial quiz marking and WordPress AI Connector support, and v4.2.0 adds REST API access tokens, endpoint-level authorization and enforced key permissions. The same release fixes unauthorized REST access to course content, quiz answers, attempts and user details, and verifies Reveal Mode answers on the server.

The project now maintains three major lines with coordinated patch days a few months apart. Adoption of 10.x will decide how long 8.x stays in the batch.
Expect the next coordinated patch batch in roughly three months; when 8.x is retired is unclear from the notes.

The capability surface has started moving again after the flat period that followed 4.0, and API trust is the main theme. A REST layer that returned quiz answers and user details without proper checks needed this repair before anyone could safely build on it. Performance work on analytics, orders and the instructor dashboard runs alongside, across nearly every release since 4.0.8.
With token authentication in place, wider REST coverage is the natural next step. Quiz depth is the other live thread, given the marking and verification work in the last two feature releases.
