OpenStatus
OpenStatus scopes API keys per resource and lets its MCP server set up monitors.
A side-by-side editorial comparison of DNSimple and Gloo Gateway — release velocity, themes, recent moves, and the top alternatives to consider.
DNSimple's origin name servers answer a quarter faster at p90 after erldns work
DNSimple keeps tuning the Erlang stack it now runs end to end. The November 4 post says p90 query time on its origin name servers is down about a quarter, and about a third for DNSSEC queries, with roughly a third less CPU, and record changes now switch in one step so existing records never briefly disappear. It follows October's dns_erlang rewrite, which cut CPU per query by 12%, and the August finish of the migration to fully owned infrastructure. Above that layer sit the CLI launched in May, browser login from June, and Domain Trustee.
Gloo Gateway 1.20.29 stops a failed restart from wiping every Envoy's config
Gloo Gateway keeps maintaining 1.19, 1.20 and 1.21 in parallel. The 1.20.29 release fixes a failure where, after a gloo restart, a failed first reconcile sent every connected Envoy an empty config; it also keeps the in-memory Proxy store across setup re-runs and delays setup restarts until the first xDS sync. The 21 October batch had fixed proxies stuck on stale endpoints.

Since owning its full DNS edge, DNSimple has turned to measurable performance work on erldns and dns_erlang, published openly. The product layer above, CLI and API clients, is moving more slowly.
Expect more erldns and dns_erlang performance posts; the entries show no sign of a new customer-facing product soon.

Recent work concentrates on control-plane failure modes: what Envoy receives when gloo restarts, reconciles badly or sends mismatched endpoint data. Each fix is backported across the supported lines alongside routine Go and dependency bumps.
The 1.21 and 1.19 backports of the empty-snapshot fix are the likely next entries, following the same-day batch pattern.
