Sanity
Sanity is pruning its MCP server's tool list as AI clients become a first-class surface.
A side-by-side editorial comparison of Dapr and InstaWP — release velocity, themes, recent moves, and the top alternatives to consider.
Dapr's fourth 1.19 candidate adds 21 more backports, still with no GA date.
Dapr maintains several release lines at once, and recent shipping is almost entirely fixes. 1.18.6 and 1.17.16 closed spoofable caller-identity headers, an access-control bypass and forged workflow results, and 1.18.7 fixed crashes and a data race that could return another request's result. 1.19.0-rc.4 adds 21 more backports: bounded workflow calls, Scheduler reconnects and a cut in retained etcd revisions from 1,000,000 to 10,000, plus metrics served only for GET and HEAD.
InstaWP is maturing from a staging sandbox into managed WordPress infrastructure.
InstaWP is a WordPress staging and development platform on a consistent, roughly monthly versioned cadence. Recent releases push hard on infrastructure and reliability: object caching on by default, more reliable and controllable migrations, SSL and backup improvements with a daily backup-storage audit, and security additions like granular bot-detection rules and Cloudflare Turnstile. Self-serve WaaS controls (plan changes from the dashboard) and a native support-ticket portal round it out.

The hardening has moved from delivery semantics to the trust boundary between apps and the concurrency safety of the sidecar itself. 1.19 is still collecting backported fixes through its fourth candidate, with workflows, Scheduler and streaming pub/sub drawing the most attention.
Expect a 1.19.0 GA once candidates stop accumulating backports, with matching fixes landing in 1.18 patches; the entries still don't show what new features 1.19 carries.

The direction is clear: InstaWP is evolving beyond disposable staging sandboxes toward managed WordPress hosting and Website-as-a-Service. The investments — caching, migration control, backup auditing, bot protection, self-serve plan management — are the building blocks of a production-grade platform, not just a testing tool. It is climbing the value chain from developer sandbox to hosting infrastructure.
Expect continued WaaS and managed-hosting depth — more self-serve controls, reliability, and security infrastructure — as InstaWP positions itself as production WordPress infrastructure.
