The changes that do originate in Contour are operational sharp edges found in production: an HTTPProxy CRD schema wrongly marking a status error field as required, which broke load balancer status updates, and shutdown-manager being CPU-throttled at a 50m limit.
◆ Prediction
The next release will almost certainly be another simultaneous three-branch batch triggered by an Envoy security bump, since both batches in this window followed exactly that pattern.

Railway is becoming a full-stack AI agent deployment platform, not just a traditional PaaS. Every changelog cycle adds either a new AI provider integration or a new agent management surface. In parallel, Railway is closing the gap with dedicated database platforms — MySQL HA, Redis HA, MySQL PITR, and one-click Postgres upgrades are features that used to require managed database services outside the deployment layer. The anonymous deploy capability suggests a top-of-funnel expansion strategy aimed at removing the first friction point before conversion.
◆ Prediction
Postgres PITR is the obvious follow-on to MySQL PITR entering Priority Boarding. On the agent side, the ChatGPT and Claude Max integrations suggest Railway is building a multi-provider agent runtime — a Gemini or Grok integration is plausible next.
